Distances: 2km / 5km / 10km / Half Marathon (21.1km)

Prizes

1st, 2nd, 3rd for male/female categories in each race length.

Schools Challenge
1st, 2nd and 3rd for the 2km and 5km run.
Primary School students will compete in the 2km. High School students will compete in the 5km. Please ensure you register for the correct distance.
Winning school will be determined by the average of the 3 fastest finishers for each school.
Participate prize will be awarded to the school with the most number of entrants.
Please include your school on the registration page if you wish to enter the schools challenge.

Race Pack Collection

Race packs can be collected from Genesis Christian College, Youngs Crossing Road at the following times:

Friday 2nd June 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Saturday 3rd June 10:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday 4th June 6:30am - 7:30am (at the event precinct prior to the start)

Race pack collection will be from the aquatic/fitness centre at the sports hall. This is the same location as the event precinct.

Late entries will be accepted from 10:00am- 4:00pm Saturday 3rd June and 6:30am - 7:00am Sunday 4th June at the race pack collection.
 
An adult may accompany a child under 10 in the 2km event without registering.

Under 18's in the 2km and 5km event will get early bird pricing until online registrations close on 2nd June 2017

Entry Fee Includes:

  • All runners will receive a finishers medallion
  • 10km and Half Marathon runners will receive an event shirt (Click here for mens shirt sizing guide and here for females shirt sizing guide)
  • Individual results
  • Aid Stations (including electrolyte on the 10km and Half Marathon course and at the finish)
  • Fruit at the finish for runners

Pace Runners

The Half Marathon will have pace runners from South Pine Striders who will be pacing the following times:

  • 1 hour 30 minutes
  • 1 hour 45 minutes
  • 2 hours
  • 2 hours 15 minutes

Note:
*All children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult during the course of the walk/run and before and after the event. All children under the age of 10 years can participate in the Pine Rivers Charity Fun Run 2km run for free providing they are supervised by a parent.

Terms & Conditions:

This must be agreed by all competitors before proceeding. For competitors under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the terms and conditions below on behalf of the competitor. This is a Legal Document.

I agree to compete in this event on the following basis:

  1. I acknowledge that running involves the risk of injury and I understand that I should not compete in this event unless l have trained appropriately.
  2. By competing, I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation in this event. For clarification, the people released include event organisers, Rotary Club of Pine Rivers Daybreak, promoters, sponsors, managers, government and public authorities and volunteers including event medical and paramedical personnel. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.
  3. I consent to receiving any medical treatment that event organisers think desirable during or after the event.
  4. l consent to event organisers using my name, image and likeness, before during or after event, for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes in any media.
  5. Any injury, loss or damage sustained by me during the event will be entirely at my cost including any medical costs and possible loss of income.
  6. Safety precautions undertaken by organisers (such as course supervision, race safety briefings) are a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety.
  7. I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event.
  8. My registration fee is non-refundable
  9. I have attached to my entry form details of any medical or physical conditions from which l suffer that might affect my performance or be relevant if medical treatment is needed.
  10. I agree to abide by all race results and directions issued by the event organiser.
  11. I certify I will abide with the race briefing received at registration.
  12. My email address will only be shared with those parties relevant concerning this event.

Medical Conditions:

I certify that I am 18 years or older and I have read this document and fully understand it. As a parent or guardian of the competitor I agree for myself and behalf of my child. I indemnify and will keep indemnified all people and corporations associated with the conduct of the event on the terms referred to.

Refunds:

The Rotary Pine Rivers Charity Fun Run WILL NOT be issuing REFUNDS under any circumstances.


Rules:

The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event without notice should they consider this necessary for safety reasons.
Each competitor will compete on the approved course as directed, will not accept outside assistance and will accept the organisers' decision as final
The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry at any time
No refunds of entry fees.
No obstruction is to be caused to the movement of vehicular traffic. Supporters must not follow competitors.
The only vehicles permitted to follow the event are Police and Official cars
All participants must follow the directions of race officials, marshals, police officers and SES officers and follow the course as marked. You must make way immediately for all emergency vehicles, including Police, SES, Fire Brigade and Ambulance.
The organisers reserve the right to alter without notice any of the Race Rules which govern the event.
In the event of a tie, the tied competitors will be placed in ascending order of their race numbers.
No dogs permitted to accompany runners.

Beneficiaries

All proceeds assist the Rotary Club of Pine Rivers Daybreak in supporting local and community projects as well as Rotary International's work world-wide for Shelterbox and Polio Plus.
